Holiday Eggnog: 3-gallon machine batches
Our seasonal Eggnog makes an easy holiday special in any frozen drink machine. Every batch starts with one 64 oz bottle of Texas Blends Eggnog and a half gallon (64 oz) of Borden eggnog. Mix in a clean bucket, pour into the machine and freeze. Each batch makes about 3 gallons, roughly 48 eight-ounce or 24 sixteen-ounce drinks before overrun.
Virgin Eggnog
1 bottle Texas Blends Eggnog (64 oz)
1/2 gallon Borden eggnog (64 oz)
2 gallons water
Wine-Based Eggnog (21+)
1 bottle Texas Blends Eggnog (64 oz)
1/2 gallon Borden eggnog (64 oz)
1 1/2 gallons 17% wine-based alcohol or alternative
1/2 gallon water
Spiked Eggnog (21+)
1 bottle Texas Blends Eggnog (64 oz)
1/2 gallon Borden eggnog (64 oz)
2 liters vodka of your choice
1 1/2 gallons water
Finish every cup: sprinkle on or stir in a little nutmeg, cinnamon sugar and dark brown sugar. These go on the finished drink, not in the batch.
Borden eggnog is a refrigerated dairy product, so mix the batch right before you load the machine and keep any extra cold. Contains milk; Borden eggnog also contains egg. Alcohol versions are for adults 21 and over, served only as your license allows. Venues: ask us about Eggnog pricing at 844-425-3637 (1-844-4-BLENDS) or apply for wholesale.
1. Start with the ratio
Most flavors. 1 part mix to 4 parts water. One 64 oz bottle + 2 gallons of water makes about 2 1/2 gallons, roughly 40 eight-ounce drinks.
Margarita. 1 part mix to 7 parts water. One 64 oz bottle + 3 1/2 gallons of water makes about 4 gallons, roughly 64 eight-ounce drinks.
Shake the bottle before you pour. Too sweet? Add water. Too weak? Add mix. Won't freeze? Add water. Yields are liquid before machine overrun.
2. Without alcohol: slushies, smoothies, dirty sodas
Texas Blends is a non-alcoholic fruit drink mix, so every build below is family friendly.
| Build | 4 to 1 flavors | Margarita (7 to 1) | Makes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blender | 2 oz mix + 10 to 12 oz ice. Splash of water optional | A little less mix, about 1 1/2 oz | One frozen drink |
| Home slushie machine, 64 oz | 12 oz mix + 48 oz water | 7 1/2 oz mix + 52 1/2 oz water | 60 oz fill |
| Home slushie machine, 48 oz | 9 oz mix + 36 oz water | 5 5/8 oz mix + 39 3/8 oz water | 45 oz fill |
| Dirty soda | 16 oz cup two-thirds full of crushed ice, 4 to 6 pumps of mix (up to 2 oz), top with about 8 oz soda | About 1 oz mix | One 16 oz cup |
| Frozen drink machine | 1 bottle + 2 gal water | 1 bottle + 3 1/2 gal water | 2 1/2 gal / 4 gal |
- Smoothie: blender build plus fruit, juice, milk or oat milk.
- Dirty soda swirl: pump the mix over ice and soda, then top with a little Vanilla Cream or your favorite creamer.
- A syrup pump fits the 64 oz bottle. Most pumps put out 1/3 to 1/2 oz per pump.
- Slushie machines: keep the normal ratio. Thinning past the ratio keeps it from freezing, and diet soda won't freeze in these machines.
3. Frozen cocktails at home (21 and over)
Texas Blends contains no alcohol. Recipes with spirits are for adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
| Drink | Build | Makes |
|---|---|---|
| Daiquiri (any 4 to 1 flavor) | 2 oz rum + 2 oz mix + 12 oz ice. Blend | One 12 oz drink |
| Margarita | 2 oz tequila + 1 oz triple sec + 1 to 2 oz Margarita mix + 12 oz ice. Blend | One 12 oz drink |
Rum works with most flavors. Vodka goes great with White Russian and Sunburn, and tequila with Margarita and Mango.

4. Tips and storage
- Shelf stable: no refrigeration needed, even after opening. Keep bottles out of direct sunlight.
- Once mixed with water, refrigerate and use within about 2 weeks. Never hold a batch with alcohol in it.
- Fruit settled in the bottle is real fruit. Shake and pour.
- Allergens: Eggnog (milk), Horchata (tree nut, almond), Sour (egg, milk), Vanilla Cream (milk), White Russian (milk). Always read the label.
- Machine setup, cleaning and refills: see How to Use Texas Blends.
5. For bars and venues
Batch builds for frozen drink machines in bars, daiquiri shops, restaurants and event venues. Need gallons or bag-in-box? Apply for wholesale.
21 and over. Serve alcohol only as your license allows. In Texas, follow TABC rules for your permit type.
Spirit batch, one 64 oz bottle
Add the spirits at the machine and run it right away. Real fruit doesn't hold up sitting in alcohol.
4 to 1 flavors
1 bottle + 2 to 3 liters spirits + 2 gallons water (fill to the 3-gallon line). Makes about 3 gallons.
Margarita ★ 7:1
1 bottle + 3 liters tequila + 1 liter triple sec + 3 1/2 gallons water (fill to the 5-gallon line). Makes about 5 gallons.
Want it stronger? Add more spirits and use the machine's cocktail setting, since more alcohol freezes softer.
Which spirit goes with which flavor
Wine-based (17%) machine batch
For venues licensed to serve wine-based products (for example, a Texas wine and beer permit). Check what your license allows before you pour.
| Flavor | Mix | 17% wine-based alcohol | Water | Makes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 to 1 flavors | 1 bottle (64 oz) | 1 1/2 gal | 1 gal | About 3 gal |
| Margarita (7 to 1) | 1 bottle (64 oz) | 2 1/2 gal | 2 gal | About 5 gal |
